Leeton and Surrounds

Situated in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area (MIA), Leeton has an amazing reputation for being a very friendly town with a wide variety of experiences for locals and visitors alike.

There is so much to do in the Leeton Shire that you will never be at a loose end.

Just pop over to the Leeton Tourism website where you will find listed the many attractions to visit and enjoy in Leeton and surrounds such as local wineries, Fivebough Wetlands, Whitton Malthouse, and Altina Wildlife Park.

There are many events held regularly in Leeton including the Biennial SunRice Festival and annual Art Deco Festival.

The friendly team at the Leeton Visitors Information Centre are happy to assist you to find an experience to suit you.

If you love markets, and who doesn’t, Leeton and Yanco put on two each month. Leeton Farmers and Makers Market is held at Mountford Park from 9.00 am on the first Saturday of each month and the Yanco Village Markets are held in the Yanco Hall beginning at 9.00 am on the last Sunday of each month.
